Tamaulipas families in the northern area can now enjoy the itinerant museum “Land of Dinosaurs”, a tourist attraction that is presented for the second time in the state and whose headquarters are the facilities of the “Expo Tam Reynosa”.
After the success achieved at Expo Tampico, “Land of Dinosaurs” will transport Reynorenses to a Jurassic environment where these animals dominated the face of the earth. Being a perfect opportunity to appreciate the importance, development and extinction of the dinosaurs, being told their story in an exhibition that covers 3 thousand square meters.
“Holding this type of exhibition shows us the diversity of events that a venue like Expo Tam Reynosa allows us to hold. The State Government also fulfills a social function by receiving, through the Tamaulipas DIF System, students from various educational institutions who will get to know this attractive interactive museum,” said Edgar E. Solís Islas, Undersecretary of Tourism Development and Promotion, on behalf of Fernando Olivera Rocha, Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas.
“We have 6 equipped rooms, paleontological recreations of up to 15 meters, with the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Stegosaurus being the most representative. On the tour you can also admire 15 robotic dinosaurs and 5 fossil replicas”, said Alejandra Solís González, representative of the museum.
“Land of dinosaurs” will be present at the “Expo Tam Reynosa” until July 10, the date on which its exhibition season ends. The recovery cost is 99 pesos for adults and 70 pesos for children. The personalized tours last approximately 45 minutes in total and are carried out with small groups of 10 to 15 visitors, taking care of the current health protocols.
The presentation of the itinerant museum “Land of Dinosaurs” was chaired by Alejandra Solís González, representative of the exhibition; Martha Patricia Cantú Silva, Director of Liaison, Management and Procurement of Funds of the Tamaulipas DIF System and by José Luis Martínez Portilla and Edgar E. Solís Islas, State Undersecretaries of Tourism.
