Having as its headquarters the maximum tourist promenade of the state, in Miramar beach the activities of the third edition of the international beer competition “Aro Rojo” began. Summoning in its 2022 edition, 70 international and national judges, from 24 countries and who will evaluate 1,118 participating beer labels.
In his message to the judges, Fernando Olivera Rocha, Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, expressed his satisfaction with the participation and trust placed in the state. Recognizing the “Red Ring” competition as an international benchmark in the craft beer industry where the work of producers from around the world is rewarded and recognized.
“Seeing them here in Tamaulipas, in this third edition, tells us about the opportunity we have to continue living with the world and to continue sharing how much we are doing in this region of Mexico, in the northeast of the country, for the conservation of our products and promoting the dissemination of craft beers”, said Olivera Rocha.
Atenogenes Saldívar Haddad, president of “Aro Rojo”, celebrated the end of the waiting period caused by the pandemic. Acknowledging and appreciating the long transfers of the judges, who on this occasion come from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, the United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Japan and Uruguay, to name a few.
The participating beers in this competition will be evaluated by the judging council. Who will take into account their aroma, appearance, flavor and body, taking those with the best record to the final part and awarding gold, silver and bronze medals to those who stand out in their category. Thanks to the quality of the products presented, the “Aro Rojo” competition has positioned itself in its genre as the third most important in Latin America.
During their stay over the week, in the southern zone of Tamaulipas, the participants will visit the main tourist destinations and will be delighted with the delicious gastronomy that distinguishes the state.
