The state of Tamaulipas formalized important cooperation, promotion and sustainability agreements with associations of travel agents, international promotion organizations and gastronomic destinations during the second day of the Tianguis Turístico México 2022.
Fernando Olivera Rocha, Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas signed agreements with AMAV Nuevo León, Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica, CONEXSTUR and with the state of Nayarit. Creating links and strategic alliances to consolidate the place reached by Tamaulipas within the national tourism scene.
Recognizing the importance and the existing tourist exchange between Tamaulipas and Nuevo León, an agreement was signed with the state representation of the AMAV in Nuevo León to strengthen the promotion of tourist spaces between neighboring states. Linking Tamaulipas hoteliers and restaurateurs with their most important issuing market through this strategic alliance.
Tamaulipas endorsed its participation in the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronomic project, a benchmark event in our country that promotes sustainable cuisine, convening industry experts and which this year will be held in the state of Jalisco. Being an important forum for Tamaulipas to show and share its gastronomic wealth.
After ratifying the strategic alliance with CONEXSTUR, represented by its head, Verena Knopp, Secretary Olivera Rocha highlighted the importance of the agreement, which will allow the dissemination of Tamaulipas tourist attractions in international markets. Connecting efficiently and directly with this council and its associates that mobilize thousands of national and foreign tourists in Mexico.
Completing the series of agreements with the one signed with the state of Nayarit, where the opportunity to link the two states was recognized, joining efforts in cross-promotion, disseminating the trust achieved in Tamaulipas and generating tourist demand that benefits both destinations. The formal act was attended by the Secretary of Tourism of Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado.
