The state of Tamaulipas continues to strengthen the promotion of its modern venues and tourist destinations, by participating in the XXVIII edition of the National Congress of the Meetings Industry (CNIR), which takes place in this tourist destination in the Mexican Caribbean.

Within his participation in the First Forum of Public Policies, Fernando Olivera Rocha, Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, valued the importance of sharing the strategic advantages of the state in this national forum. Where 600 industry specialists, and congress organizers, being mainly owners and general directors with decision-making power, were summoned.

 

 

 

He detailed the need to start work as an industry, in a public-private exercise, promoting multidisciplinary work where a public policy approach is carried out within the meetings industry. And detailing the facilitations that must be given by the different levels of government to participate in their development.

“In the domestic sphere, there are a large number of congresses that generate social benefit in the destinations and, of course, economic benefits. Therefore, public policy can attend to two strategies. A local domestic and another international within this activity”, mentioned Olivera Rocha.

The work carried out during the current administration of Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca has allowed Tamaulipas to be positioned as a safe destination. Where in the last two years dozens of congresses, assemblies, and national meetings have been held, summoning thousands of national and international congressmen to “The Surprise of Mexico”.

Within the activities of the CNIR 2022, forums, workshops and conferences were held to promote the meetings industry, contributing to the professionalization and competitiveness of the destinations that are part of the value chain within the national industry.
