The Secretary of Tourism of the state of Tamaulipas, Fernando Olivera Rocha, launched the SaniTamPro program, it is a certification that will validate the correct sanitation protocols were applied in hotels, food and beverage establishments, travel agencies and tour operators.
This program is based on a self-evaluation system “SaniTamPro”, an initiative that prior to the restart of activities, will validate companies that offer a hygienic and safe service, and therefore, positioning the state as a clean destination.
At a virtual press conference, the Secretary of Tourism of the state of Tamaulipas, Fernando Olivera Rocha, presented this new program that shows the good practices and the sanitation protocols. This program shows the effort and commitment of this Mexican state to ensure safety to all visitors.
“With SaniTamPro we are going to promote good hygiene practices in all the hospitality industry of this state. This sanitation program will be applied in all kinds of establishments, inns, restaurants, hotels, travel agencies, spas, camps, etc. hygiene and sanitation”, mentioned the head of tourism.
Faced with the new scenarios visualized post Covid-19 in the world tourism sector, where destinations will be increasingly sustainable, managing high hygiene criteria and with more selective tourists, speak of a clean and safe Tamaulipas, will be a way to reactivate this economic sector of Tamaulipas.
Hotels, food and beverage establishments, travel agencies and tour operators interested in obtaining the “SaniTamPro” certificate, may enter the pages www.tamaulipas.gob.mx/turismo and www.visittam.com of the Ministry of Tourism of Tamaulipas, where they can find detailed information and find the forms to carry out their self-evaluation.
