What began as a dream truncated by the pandemic, became an exciting reality for a group of 16 young students from the Telebachillerato Comunitario 025, located in the “Campo Pesquero Punta de Piedra”, in the Tamaulipas municipality of San Fernando, at get to know the southern part of the state, enjoying the tourist attractions it offers.
During their stay, the young people went to the Laguna del Carpintero Urban Park in Tampico, where they took the opportunity to take the official graduation photo. Touring the new areas of this tourism project that have enriched the port’s offer. To later get excited going to the cinema, being the first time for many of them to enjoy a movie and the taste of some popcorn.
During their visit to the maximum tourist walk in Tamaulipas, they visited the CAPTA Miramar facilities, where they were explained the operation of the facility and its operation during the seasons of greatest vacation activity. Sharing the importance that Miramar represents for tourism in the state, detailing the blue flag awards received, and letting them know that it is the first inclusive beach in the Gulf of Mexico.
Cynthia González Rosas, teacher responsible for the group of young people of the Community Telebachillerato 025, detailed the unity and desire that has always characterized her students, which allowed them to fight for their dream of knowing the southern part of the state. Starting their adventure with a trip from their study center to the next community, where within a health day they asked the governor of Tamaulipas for support to travel to Tampico.
“This was an experience that they were looking for, since they were in primary and secondary school, they had not had the opportunity to graduate or end their courses. They were organizing, but the pandemic went through, returning to the classroom was exciting for them and they resumed their dream of traveling around their state. A very special thanks to our governor and his wife Mariana for making my students’ dreams come true,” said teacher González Rosas.
Through the institutional collaboration of state agencies and private initiatives, such as the Tamaulipas DIF System, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Association of Hotels of the South of Tamaulipas, the necessary support in transportation and stay was managed that allowed to fulfill this long-awaited dream of young Tamaulipas students.
