Tamaulipas Gradually Reopens
Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. – Tamaulipas has begun to reopen its economy, hotels and restaurants included, after many weeks of statewide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Secretary of Tourism of the State of Tamaulipas, Fernando Olivera Rocha, reports that the Phase 1 of the reopening measures has started last June 1. He also stated that hotels and resorts can be able to reopen at 50% capacity. Restaurants, on the other hand, can re-start their operations at 25% capacity.
Shopping centers, tourist destinations, gyms, and sports clubs still remain closed. The reopening these establishments and sectors is possible on Phase 2, but there are still no details about the date and the specific instructions in carrying the operations under the new normal.
