Ej. El Riachuelo, Gómez Farías, Tamaulipas. - Accompanied by the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, the Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca began the construction of the TAM- Bajio highway, also known as Mante- Ocampo- Tula, which will connect the entities of the Bajio with the southern region of Tamaulipas more efficiently and directly, strengthening trade and tourism between both regions.

 

 

The efforts of the Government of Tamaulipas consolidated the project by recovering the road concession that will cross the Tamaulipas municipalities of Mante, Gómez Farias, Ocampo, and Tula along 107 kilometers, reducing travel times by up to 2 hours between Bajio (San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and Guanajuato) and the cities of Tampico, Madero, and Altamira.

“We are betting that companies currently using the Altamira Port will attract great business opportunities. By inviting different sectors, we anticipate progress, as the road is coming as well as many business opportunities.

As State Governor, my priority for promoting these business opportunities above politics will always be Tamaulipans, and to ensure that those benefits remain in our state, “assured the Governor of Tamaulipas.

Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, Governor of Guanajuato, one of the main industrial regions of the country, recognized the vision of the Government of Tamaulipas by promoting projects that strengthen regional and local economic development.

The project consists of a private investment of 7 billion pesos by Grupo Hycsa, which will increase connectivity through an alternative high-specification type A2 road that will connect the Tamaulipas cities of Tampico, Madero, and Altamira with the central-western region of the country, to obtain savings in travel times and reduce travel costs for users by offering a 107-kilometer-long road system under state jurisdiction.

The TAM-Bajio highway is projected to become one of the main roads used by tourism and commerce, in addition its construction will generate more than 1,200 direct jobs and 3,400 indirect jobs, and more than 250 different equipment will be used.

The TAM-Bajio highway will be used both in tourism and commerce with great economic benefit for transportation, hotels, gastronomy, among others.

The Governor of the State of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, the General Staff Brigadier Diplomat Vicente Antonio Hernández Sánchez, Commander of the 8th Military Zone and the Infantry Coronel Alfredo Ojeda Yañez Commander of the 54th Infantry Battalion attended the event.

In addition, the Aeronautica Naval General Staff Vice Admiral Graduated Pilot Aviator José Carlos Vera Vidal, Commander of the First Naval Zone, Senator Ismael García Cabeza de Vaca, the State Government General Secretary, Cesar Augusto Verastegui Ostos, the Secretary of Public Works Cecilia del Alto López and the Secretary of Tourism Fernando Olivera Rocha, also federal deputies, local deputies, elected deputies and mayors, municipal presidents and representatives of southern states governments.
