Torreon, Coahuila. - The border town of Reynosa and the new Expo Tam facilities will host the AMEREF Northern Border Precincts Summit in October.

The Secretary of Tourism in Tamaulipas Fernando Olivera Rocha and the President of the Fair Venues Mexican Association Harold Sanders Palacios, made the announcement within the VII National Congress at the Torreon Convention Center.

During his participation in the panel “The importance of joint working between Venues and CVB´s”, the head of tourism in Tamaulipas noted the strategies applied by the State Government to manage, attract, and execute a greater number of congresses and conventions in Tamaulipas.

 

 

Reassuring organizers and participants after facing the structural challenges that tourism experiences nowadays; Tamaulipas holds venues such as the Polyforum Convention Center in Ciudad Victoria, the Tampico Expo, the Nuevo Laredo Cultural Center, and the Tam Reynosa Expo, that will start operations in the next few days.

“Tourism has proven in all service providers and venues to be very professional and responsible, with outstanding biosafety measures. Same happens with hotels, restaurants, tourist transportation, airports and the entire tourism value chain that has shown a very serious and responsible work,” said Olivera Rocha.

During this national forum, the challenges that the post Covid 19 reactivation process represents for the industry were addressed, collaborating with the heads of tourism of Coahuila Lucía Azucena Ramos Ramos, Zacatecas Eduardo Yarto Aponte, and Durango Eleazar Gamboa de la Parra.
