Tampico receives first SaniTamPro certificates
Tampico, Tamaulipas. – Tamaulipas Secretary of Tourism, Fernando Olivera Rocha, distributed the first batch of SaniTamPro certificates to travel-related companies in the Port of Tampico. The move is part of the state’s efforts to elevate health and safety protocols as it reopens its doors for tourism after its COVID-19 lockdown.
Tamaulipas is adapting quickly to the new global tourism situation by creating programs that promote long-term hygiene consciousness to businesses and organizations. All travel and service professionals and companies were invited to participate in SaniTamPro and the program has been received well.
Here are the hotels that were given the SaniTamPro certificates so far: Gamma Tampico, Posada de Tampico, HS Hotsson Tampico, and Río Vista Inn. Jardin Rosa Restaurant, along with Viaja Mas travel agency, was also certified. A total of 76 tourism companies received the SaniTamPro certificates as of press time.
The Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, Fernando Olivera Rocha said that the state appreciates the commitment and enthusiasm of business owners, managers, and employees in Tamaulipas’s efforts in implementing the new health and safety protocols.
