Government promotes “SaniTamPro” Program in Gomez Farias and Ejido San Jose
Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. – To heighten the health and safety protocols at El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, Tamaulipas’s premier tourist attraction, state health officers has promoted the SaniTamPro program to the Gomez Farias and Ejido San Jose municipalities.
This move by the government provided training to travel and service-related providers covering 85 food, transportation, accommodation, and tour companies based in El Cielo Biosphere Reserve. “This will ensure the compliance of the health and safety protocols in distant areas where people don’t have a prompt access to information and nor have the facilities to carry out the program to ensure the safety and health of the workers, visitors and public,” states Fernando Olivera Rocha, Tamaulipas’s Secretary of Tourism.
The health department that all health and safety protocols were followed in the entire duration of the training. Facilitators, guests, and attendees were made sure to practice social distancing, use hand sanitizers, and wear face masks and disposable gloves.
