Tamaulipas Tourism Sec Boosts Training During Tourism Shutdown
Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. – Online professionalization seminars, webinars, and destination presentations were part of the activities implemented by Fernando Olivera Rocha, Tourism Secretary of the State of Tamaulipas, during the tourism shutdown brought about by the COVD-19 pandemic.
Reaching more than 15,000 people, these online promotional activities highlighted the beauty of Tamaulipas, the convenience of land and air connectivity in the state, the gastronomic surprises the state is known for, and the various lodging options available for tourists.
The secretary highlighted that the participation of the travel agents in these online activities will make them realize the safety of traveling to Tamaulipas. He also discussed the other important points like the new behaviors in tourism during the Post-COVID era, as well as new tourism trends.
These online webinars have trained 55 associations, companies, travel professionals, tour operators, and sales executives.
Since the launch of these online activities, the State Tourism and Cultural Online Program and the “Agent Tam” Online Training Program have not only encouraged the professionalization of the travel sector. These activities also imparted knowledge on the best tools and best practices on marketing Tamaulipas as “Mexico’s Best Kept Secret Destination.”
